Southern Velo

bicycle cult today

huwlemmey:

“THEY TALK ABOUT VIOLENCE” I collected a whole bunch of leaflets, propaganda and flyers during the 2010 student protests. I think I got this flyer at the second or third demo after Millbank, produced by one of the anarchist affinity groups which operated at the time.

hey. We have a cycling club near Chattanooga called southern velo. Want to sponsor us?? Just kidding. But I do like the name of your website and your art. Keep it up!

Rad! I can send some stuff to y'all if you’d like.

I’ve been drawing and painting and all manner of artsy things on the envelopes for stickers and patches I’ve sent out over the years. It’s been a labor of love for a long time now. I hope y'all enjoy them.

After a couple months of regular use commuting 30+ round trip days through the Portland sprawl, I can say that I have found a new favorite tire. They handle wet and mossy pavement with ease and have a smooth, yet grippy road feel. I’ve found that 80/70psi front/rear to be near perfect pressure for these on a 23mm wide rim if the ride is mostly pavement. Smooth dirt trials and packed gravel are a pleasure to ride with the 28mm size, but loose gravel can get squirmy when climbing.
Other than me riding where this bike was not meant to be ridden I’d recommend them for most people who are on bike more than 5 times a week. 🤘#panaracer #gravelking

Tonight, I went to an illegal cyclocross race in a park in South East Portland, OR. It was absolutely amazing and fun and I support more people doing the same thing.
